Sisig Tacos
I’m about to offend two cultures with one taco… and I’m completely okay with it. 😂🇵🇭🌮
But hear me out… sisig tacos just make sense. Crispy, savory Filipino sisig meets a crispy corn tortilla, tangy calamansi, and Mexican crema. It’s the kind of Filipino-Mexican fusion that makes you wonder why we didn’t do this sooner. 😂
Ingredients
1.5 lbs Pork belly
2 Tbsps Cane Vinegar
2 Tbsps Soy sauce
1/2 large Onion chopped
3 clovesGarlic minced
1-2 Chili peppers chopped (optional)
2-3 Tbsps Mayonnaise or Crema
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Chop fried pork belly into small pieces. Place in bowl
Add onions, garlic, chilis, soy sauce and vinegar to pork belly. Mix thoroughly and let sit for 10 minutes
Stir fry mixture until pork crispy, and onions browned.
Add Crema
Lightly fry corn tortillas
Add sisig into tortillas, squeeze fresh calamansi, and top with crema.
