Chicken Inasal Air Fryer
Air Fryer Chicken Inasal is the easiest way to bring bold Filipino flavor to your table š„šµš
Tangy calamansi, savory soy sauce, garlic, lemongrass, ginger, and that signature annatto oil ā all soaked into juicy chicken and caramelized to perfection. Crispy edges, tender inside, zero grill needed.
Ingredients
2 Large Chicken Leg Quarters.
1/3 c Soy Sauce
1/3 c Cane Vinegar
2 Tbsp Calamansi Juice
4 Garlic Cloves minced
1 Tbsp crushed Lemongrass
1 small thumb of Ginger minced
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1/4 tsp Black pepper
2 Tbsp Annato Oil
Instructions
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi juice, garlic, lemongrass, ginger, brown sugar, and black pepper. Mix well.
Cut small slits into the thickest parts of the chicken so the flavor gets all the way in. Massage the marinade into the chicken and let sit for about 2 hours.
Place the chicken in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 390°F for 15 minutes.
Flip and baste generously with annatto oil. Air fry another 10 minutes.
Flip once more, baste again, and air fry for about 5 more minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the chicken is fully cooked (165°F internal).
Serve with hot steamed white rice. Spoon extra annatto oil over the top and serve soy sauce with calamansi on the side for dipping.
